About

Answering questions based on science has become a search problem. Since 1996 more than 45 million articles have been published in scientific and technical journals and every year over 2.5 million new ones are added. For example, if you wanted to know what science says about the best treatment for curing a cold, the challenge is not to find an existing study on this topic. The challenge is to make sense of the hundreds of published studies .

Metalens aims to provide a service that makes it easy to find scientific answers to your questions.

Metalens is a project developed by Linas & Johanna. It has been our joint course project as students at the International Transformation University in Linz. It is currently in its prototype stage and we are very happy to for any kind of input. You can reach us at johanna.einsiedler@sodas.ku.dk and lv222kc@student.lnu.se. All the studies currently displayed on Metalens are taking from the ‘metadat’ dataset: Thomas White, Daniel Noble, Alistair Senior, W. Kyle Hamilton and Wolfgang Viechtbauer (2022). metadat: Meta-Analysis Datasets. R package version 1.2-0. https://CRAN.R-project.org/package=metadat
